The upcoming anime Bless has revealed a new character promotional video featuring Hikaru Ooya, voiced by Tarusuke Shingaki. The announcement gives fans a closer look at one of the characters connected to protagonist Aia Udagawa and highlights the emotional relationships at the heart of the series.
Rather than relying solely on action or fantasy, Bless explores personal ambition, creative expression, and the complicated feelings that emerge when people chase their dreams.
💄 Meet Hikaru Ooya
Hikaru's relationship with Aia is shaped by a mixture of admiration and frustration. He watches over her, sometimes feeling dazzled by her abilities and sometimes struggling with his own emotions.
That dynamic could become one of the series' most interesting elements. When talented people pursue their ambitions together, admiration can easily become rivalry, and support can be mixed with insecurity.
The new character PV offers a glimpse of these emotional layers while introducing Hikaru's voice and personality.
🎨 More Than Appearance: A Story About Dreams
One of Bless's most distinctive themes is makeup as a form of creative expression.
The series connects personal style with confidence, individuality, and the courage to show the world who you really are. Makeup becomes more than a way to change someone's appearance—it can be a way to discover a new identity and bring out hidden confidence.
Some of the themes viewers can look forward to include:
- Self-expression: Discovering a personal style and identity.
- Ambition: Working toward creative goals despite challenges.
- Relationships: Navigating admiration, rivalry, and emotional growth.
- Confidence: Learning to recognize your own strengths and potential.
These themes could make Bless especially appealing to viewers who enjoy character-driven stories about creativity and personal development.
