A new vampire-themed romantic comedy is heading to television as Hiragi-san’s House of Vampires has officially been announced for a TV anime adaptation. The announcement arrives just in time for Halloween, accompanied by a special teaser visual introducing the mysterious world of the Hiragi family.
Based on the manga by Miki Yoshikawa, the series combines supernatural elements, family secrets, and romantic comedy. Yoshikawa is also known for popular manga works such as Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches and A Couple of Cuckoos.
A Strange New Family
The story follows Shota Minamoto, a middle-school boy living in a children's care facility. His life takes an unexpected turn when he is welcomed into the home of the Hiragi family, who appear to be a happy and wealthy household.
However, Shota soon discovers a frightening secret: everyone in his new family is a vampire. After being attacked and having his blood sucked, he begins to question why he was brought into the household in the first place.
Is he being accepted as a new family member, or does the Hiragi family have something much more mysterious planned for him?
Production Details
The anime adaptation is being planned and produced by UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS. A special teaser visual has been revealed, but the production team has not yet announced the main director, voice cast, animation studio, or premiere date.
